Pre-quiz
Today in class I took a quiz to see how good of an understanding I have for html. I got a 56%. It seems as if I could practice more and study the meaning of each "symbol".

Intro To HTML!
Today in computer science we started learning about programming and webdesign using html. We went online to a website that gave us a small tutorial and allowed us to practice by typing in a box and then viewing our results. It was fun to see what you could create using this new language. Then, we worked on a notepad and did our first lesson using the code and making headings and paragraphs using different sizes and spaces. It was really difficult for me at first, but now I know small basics and it is kind of easy.

The Marvelous Eighth Post
My partner, Sam and I played a game of 20Qs online the other day. We chose the category music and decided to see if the computer could figure out we were thinking of our favorite artist, Drake. Fortunately, we won because the computer asked a lot more than 20 questions. It was a lot of fun.

The Extraordinary Fifth Post!
This is the rug weaver software. Like the basket weaver I used the line graphing system. I found it easy as I was used to the system. However this particular design I struggled with. I mad a few mistakes early on and I was not aware of them until after I was nearly half way through, so the software took me longer than expected. After fixing the mistakes I found a rhythm with the number again and I was able to fly through it.

The Amazing Fourth Post
This is the dog basket. I used the line graphing system. I found it difficult at first, but it became extremely easy. I found there was a pattern even in creating the "basket". Personally, I did not have to keep looking back at the graph for each point because I discovered the pattern. The numbers increased of decreased depending on the placement of each line, and it was something I was able to figure out rather quickly.

The Riveting Second Post
Today, September 22, 2015, Starbucks launched a new feature for their app. Fortunately, lines are no longer anything to worry about. Starbucks created the feature of Order & Pay. Customers have the ability to customize their order to meet their needs, and pay before even getting to the store. This component is beyond convenient for all those busy business men and women rushing to get to their jobs early in the morning, but want a little help from a caffeine filled cup of coffee for a boost of energy. Thank you Starbucks!

The Exciting First Blog Post!
Hello! My name is Samantha Emmons. I
am currently 17 years old and a senior in high school. I love music more than
anything in the world. It lifts my spirit and always makes me so inexplicably
happy. The beach is the perfect place for a nomadic spirit like myself to call
home. You can always find me there. The feeling of the sand between my toes and
the waves washing over me is extremely comforting. Traveling and seeing the world is very
important to me. I want to live in many different places such as Croatia,
California, Hawaii, Australia, and Italy. The sky is one of the most beautiful
things in the world, and the stars and the universe amaze me. Also, I am taking
computer science because I needed to take one more business class in order to
graduate. However, I am beginning to realize we are able to really express
ourselves, and get creative with our projects. Therefore, I am looking forward
to get to apply my creativity in a way I never considered. Through this class I
am hoping to ultimately gain knowledge. With technology in our world advancing
I think it is important to have a good understanding of the powers possessed by
the computer. That is all!
